About Richard Vy

Richard Vy is a Franco-Cambodian producer and songwriter building a new branch of Khmer pop. His music is defined by an English-style modern sound - clean, emotive, and global - while his identity is rooted deeply in Khmer storytelling and bilingual lyrics.

As the founder of Khmer Style, Richard focuses on bridging the gap between the diaspora and the homeland. The “Khmer-ness” of his work isn’t found in traditional scales, but in the intimate narratives of family, memory, and resilience that define the Cambodian experience.
