A Letter to My Son

“You Are My Tomorrow” is out now.

This single was born from my late-night journal entries about my son and the future he deserves. Every verse is a promise that he will never have to replay our hardest nights — only learn from them, use them to read the warning signs, and choose his own light.

“Take my heavy nights and all my crossroads / Turn them into signs on your own way home.”

I mixed raw English storytelling with Khmer guardrails so the lyrics read like a bilingual lullaby and a survival guide at once. The Khmer phrases are my voice across time: a father telling his child how to say no, how to carve a new path, and how to remember home even when the city feels far away.

Building the Sound

The drums start as a heartbeat, then stretch into neon pads and tape-saturated guitars that glow like the streetlights outside our apartment in Paris. The arrangement mirrors the lyric: bedtime softness giving way to a pulse that keeps walking forward. Every layer is meant to feel like the hug I wish I could wrap around my son when the world gets loud.
